We add value to web properties and projects, creating and enhancing internet-based solutions to solve business problems. We integrate solutions into useful and manageable web applications for our clients.
We use Ruby on Rails to build solutions because it allows us to deliver stable and highly maintainable web applications much faster than other frameworks and languages, and that makes us and our clients happy.
We are a service oriented company. We work hard and we’re not satisfied until our clients are satisfied.
We are serious and passionate about our work. We love what we do. We write books about Ruby on Rails, publish gems and plugins. Our people spend an average of 12 hours each day at work, but we are not stuffy and arrogant. After our clients are happy, we play hard too.
We are located in Overland Park, KS, a beautiful suburb of Kansas City.

Our Process
At CBCI we use Basecamp to setup, track and communicate details and milestones for each project. Every project is different. We adjust our reporting and communication process to the needs of our clients, from six-sigma quality standards to simple weekly status reports sent to your inbox. Typically the work flow goes something like this:
- A meeting takes place between the client and a lead CBCI engineer. You talk, we listen, answer questions and take notes.
- We deliver an estimate of time and resources to accomplish the work along with a formal project requirements, terms and proposal.
- Documents are agreed upon and signed, copies faxed and work begins.
- Client receives realtime project updates and regular status reports until project is completed.
- At project completion we complete a final system walkthrough with the client and deliver the project to the production environment.
- We continue to watch the production performance closely to ensure everything runs as smooth as glass, as our clients expect.
History
CBCI has been delivering web applications since 1989. We have engineered and integrated solutions for clients like GE, Sprint/Nextel, OfficeMax and the Lee Company, to name a few.
In 2005 we shifted our focus to Ruby on Rails, and have never looked back. Many companies and developers drop Ruby on Rails into their large list of skills as an afterthought. Ruby on Rails is what we do. Our many awards, customer satisfaction and peers tell us we do it very well.
