The Process

Our Process

At CBCI we use Redmine to setup, track and communicate details and milestones for each project. Every project is different. We adjust our reporting and communication process to the needs of our clients, from six-sigma quality standards to simple weekly status reports sent to your inbox. There are 3 hourly-based options (tracks) to choose from:

1. Billable – $120/hr – This track offers the most flexibility and customization
• A meeting takes place between the client and a lead CBCI engineer. You talk, we listen, answer questions and take notes.
• We nail down your project requirements and define a scope of work to meet those requirements
• As a team we breakdown your requirements into discrete tasks and assign a range of time-to-complete for each
• Estimate is delivered to you
• We calculate 30% of the value of the high-end of our estimate and collect that amount, which is held in escrow until project end wherein it is applied to any remaining balance.
• Documents are agreed upon and signed, copies faxed and work begins.
• Client receives realtime project updates and regular status reports until project is completed.
• At project completion we complete a final system walkthrough with the client and deliver the project to the production environment.
• We continue to watch the production performance closely to ensure everything runs as smooth as glass, as our clients expect.

2. Prepaid – $95/hr – This track offers a less expensive rate but all work is paid in advance
• A meeting takes place between the client and a lead CBCI engineer. You talk, we listen, answer questions and take notes.
• We nail down your project requirements and define a scope of work to meet those requirements
• As a team we breakdown your requirements into discrete tasks and assign a range of time-to-complete for each
• Estimate is delivered to you
• We calculate 10% of the value of the high-end of our estimate and collect that amount, which is held in escrow and withdrawn according to amount of time worked on the project. We continue to bill in advance for work to be done.
• Documents are agreed upon and signed, copies faxed and work begins.
• Client receives realtime project updates and regular status reports until project is completed.
• At project completion we complete a final system walkthrough with the client and deliver the project to the production environment.
• We continue to watch the production performance closely to ensure everything runs as smooth as glass, as our clients expect.

3. Retainer – $75/hr – This track features our lowest rate.
• A meeting takes place between the client and a lead CBCI engineer. You talk, we listen, answer questions and take notes.
• We collect payment for the specified number of hours you wish to retain until month end.
• Documents are agreed upon and signed, copies faxed and work begins.
• Client receives realtime project updates and regular status reports until project is completed.
• At project completion we complete a final system walkthrough with the client and deliver the project to the production environment.
• We continue to watch the production performance closely to ensure everything runs as smooth as glass, as our clients expect.
